Game farms have more than doubled in value in the last ten years.
Game farms have been a very good investment over the past two decades, with the values of these properties increasing by more than 100 % every 5 years. In some prime areas this increase has been as high as 400 % over a 10 year period. The Waterberg is one of the areas which have shown an above average growth in value. Contributing factors include the following:
  • Overseas buyers with their strong currency
  • Local investors hedging on Capital growth
  • Tremendous growth in the tourist industry in Southern Africa.
Game farming is the fastest growing sector of the agricultural industry in South Africa. Since 1994 this industry has grown at nearly 6% per year. There are now well over 5000 game farms other than nature reserves and parks. More than 10 million hectares carry nearly 2 million head of game. The Limpopo Province has the highest density of the total number of game farms, with the Northern Cape and the Eastern Cape being the other two major game ranching provinces. ADEK FARMS have game farms for sale in all these provinces. Bordering countries have become increasingly popular for Game, Crop and Cattle Farming. It is for this reason that ADEK FARMS have increased their coverage to our neighbouring Countries.

Cape Wine Farms is wonderful lifestyle and capital growth investments.
Cape wine farms is prime investment opportunities. Many foreign investors have opted for the beautiful Cape as an investment not only for future growth returns but as a wonderful lifestyle in this historic and beautiful part of South Africa. The Cape Province has become one of the major tourist destinations in Africa. Coastal properties are also sought after as summer homes away from the European winters.
Wildlife tourists have more than trebled since 1994.
The increasing number of international visitors to South Africa has led to a shortage of wildlife accommodation destinations. Many game farms are now turning to this lucrative source of income. 120,000 visitors a year visit Addo National Park, more tourists than Kenya's Serengeti Reserve attracts. As the farms surrounding this, and other parks, are transformed into game farms, the income from the tourist trade will dramatically increase. This demand will keep increasing the value of properties in these areas.
South Africa as a hunting destination.
There are over 200,000 South African hunters and with the reputation of good hunting destinations and our stable political environment International hunters are making South Africa their destination of choice. Our Foreign buyers are more comfortable acquiring farms in Southern Africa for their hunting retreats.
